The main story is about a doctor forging their own prescription for viagra: this seems to be a light story that may make some readers laugh. Immediately Kent Online have set a tone by using this story as their lead.
What's more interesting is that directly under is a story about the death of a newborn baby by as-yet-undetermined means. Is the lighthearted story first to soften the blow of such a tragedy?
Just to the right are 5 more stories: the majority are gentle ones such as Sir Ian McKellen visiting a flower festival and a walk around Maidstone whilst discussing Kent's involvement in the First World War. Then there's an expensive pipe repair article and one about leaves catching fire. The fifth one however is 'darker' than the others as it's about a robbery.
Overall this page has some relatively light news
What caught my eye especially though was the small box on the right-hand side of the page titled "Most Read":
These were the stories that the highest number of viewers clicked on; it's most popular story was the death of a woman in a bus crash. This story would appeal to commuters mainly and other casual users of the bus services. Perhaps of the age range of these readers would be 20-30 years old and employed. You could also argue that they may be elderly who like to commute by bus but this seems less likely as it's an online article.
The next story was another police appeal after a child was injured in a car crash. This story would most likely interest other motorists and parents in the age range of 20-40, employed and with young children.
The 'teen left comatose by spiked drink would also concern parents but of a slightly higher age range of 30-50 as the child in subject is a teenager.
Beside these headlines are the number of comments posted under the article by readers. What's surprising is that the highest, by quite a margin, is a 'fight' to keep Manston Airport in Canterbury open after its closure. This received a staggering 238 comments (As of posting this) which tells me that the main concern of the readers is the closure of a local airport. However it could also be because they feel more comfortable publishing an opinion on a lighter story than a more heavier one.
